Through its client CBS Electronics, DataPlex quickly created the wireless button system used for contestant tie-breaking in NBC’s hit game show, Singing Bee. The system’s buttons transmit on independent frequencies and their receivers feed a contestant “first to respond” circuit. For heightened reliability and security, the frequencies adjust, transmitted digital signatures are verified, and multiple receivers increase the system’s range and eliminate RF dropouts.
