Step 5 – Adding Data Record Navigation Controls

Without any navigation controls, AmpUp will show all of the results from a table query on the webpage it is generating. While this may be fine for some applications, such as for supporting a limited number of donor mailing addresses, it isn’t appropriate for larger or open-ended lists.

AmpUp has built-in navigation that is turned on with one option, and you can set the number of records per page. Here’s a screenshot of our fundraising system with navigation activated for the staff member table:

Notice the navigation controls along the top of the form. Again, their look is based on CSS can can be tailored to suit the customer. What you see here are larger than normal buttons designed for use with mobile touchscreens.
