DataPlex is proud to present the ten year anniversary editions of its RACE Products. New features are multiple slow speed settings that can greatly reduce the number of accident incidents and cost-effective integrated timing and speed control, a first for the concession karting industry.
The most recent editions of DataPlex’s RACE Products are the culmination of over 35 years of experience of DataPlex personnel developing vehicle control systems and working with its customers to optimize venue operations. It is DataPlex that has provided Malibu Grand Prix with its Timing Systems for all of its locations since 1991 and, lately, for its new multimillion dollar SpeedZone locations. DataPlex has continued to develop new systems to meet the demands of a more sophisticated karting industry. It is with this goal in mind that DataPlex is pleased to offer the following line of its patent pending Remote Automation Control Electronics (RACE) Products.
RACE-100
Suitable for most installations, DataPlex offers the RACE-100 System, a Track Timer with Car Control. It can shutdown all cars, a group of cars, or any individual car. This state-of-the-art system is capable of controlling the cars at the end of each session automatically by signaling the cars to slow to a preset speed. This system can also govern the speed of all cars as they exit the pits, on the open track, upon entering the pits and if so desired in the pit area. The system can control traffic signals and allow up-hill operation of cars under speed control. RACE-100 can become an integral element of a flexible RACE-1000 or RACE-2000 System, advanced platforms that can combine Vehicle ID (VID), scoreboard display and ticket printing capabilities.
The RACE-1000 System is a DataPlex exclusive for go-kart venues. It combines kart control with kart and session timing at a sophisticated level to reduce the difficulties in operating a go-kart venue while increasing safety. It is basically a simplified RACE-2000 that has been configured optimally for go-kart venues.
RACE-2000 is DataPlex’s preeminent system that couples the individual car control features of RACE-100 with the power and expandability of a host computer providing an exacting system for the venue operator. It is a modular system having a number of additional features from which to choose. With the addition of the RACE-Control Module, a RACE-2000 System can limit the speed of cars in different parts of the track automatically. Included with RACE-2000 System are RACE-Kart or RACE-GP Applications specifically designed for Go-Kart and Grand Prix/Rally style venues.
RACE-2000 can also be linked to other modules that control a variety of other devices including scoreboards, displays, card readers, and ticket dispensers. DataPlex customers using a combination of optional RACE modules have realized improved performance and significant cost savings over using mixed sets of control devices from different companies.
